A teacher-led approach to developing essential skills, with a practical challenge.
Unlock access to 1 Challenge Day on the Hub. Challenge Days have 8 sections, 1 section per skill and can be run over one day or an extended period of time. There are Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 versions of the same challenge, so you can choose to run it ‘whole-school’ or with specific phases. Challenge Days are an opportunity for children to apply all 8 essential skills to a specific scenario, e.g. building a new society on the moon!
Unlock access to 4 extended Projects of your choice. Projects are split into 10 1-hour sessions. There are 3 for each year group Nursery - Year 6. Choose to run Projects over a week, fortnight or half term. Projects are designed to focus tightly on just 3 essential skills. Each Project answers a ‘big question’ and ends with an outcome, e.g. creating a cookbook full of family recipes to sell to parents!

Each module has 8 sections each focusing on a different skill, and can be delivered either by a teacher or used independently. Students learn about the skills needed in different job roles and sectors, including construction and engineering, finance and the world of work.

Who can access Digital Membership?
Any UK school, college or specialist education can subscribe to Digital Membership. If you are outside the UK, please contact info@skillsbuilder.org to find out if you can unlock Digital Membership.
Is there any training or support included?
Digital membership comes with a half day of training and support for the main staff member running the programme in a school. This includes workshops and video calls to help you get the most from your programme, as well as regular communications from our team.
How much does Digital Membership cost?
Programme prices vary depending on the package you choose. Please navigate to the phase tabs to get recommendations for your setting.
Can I add other Premium Resources to my subscription?
If your programme has not yet started, you can add further Premium Resources such as Projects, Challenge Days or Virtual Work Experience Modules using the order form on this webpage.
If your programme is already underway, you can also choose to upgrade your Hub or Benchmark subscription by paying the difference in price. Please contact us at digitalmembership@skillsbuilder.org for more information.
When will my programme start?
Digital Memberships run from late August to late July, in line with the academic year. If you purchase Digital Membership within the academic year, your subscription will start within a week of when you submitted the order form.
What will happen at the end of the academic year?
Before your subscription renews, you will receive an email from the team laying out the options for the following academic year. You will be asked to reply to this email if you would like to make any changes to your subscription before it automatically renews.
