Our employer partners periodically host visits to their workplaces by groups of students, who get a chance to meet employees and ask questions. Volunteers and students then get to work on a challenge that gives a flavour of what the organisation does.

Sheffield City Council is working with the Skills Builder Partnership to embed essential skills across the city: into education, employment and the wider community.

The Council is using the Universal Framework to support two of its core objectives: the prevention of local residents from becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) and the reduction of the number of local residents who are NEET.

Through its outreach and employer engagement initiatives, Sheffield City Council is promoting a joined up approach to skills development for learners, educators and local employers.
