Hounslow’s Promise Young Leaders' Programme is a six-month programme aimed at empowering young individuals between the ages of 16 and 19 every year. Participants enhance their essential skills, particularly Leadership, to equip them with the capabilities they need for the future. Participants engage in weekly activities that take them on a path of self-discovery, where they can explore, actively engage in and influence change on issues that hold personal significance to them. Through workshops, group discussions, masterclasses, mentoring and more, the young adults grow their confidence and hone their skills to become effective leaders and advocates.

At the beginning of the programme, all participants reflect against six essential skills using the Benchmark platform. Each session focuses on a specific skill and provides learners will several opportunities to practise, reflect on, and make progress in focus steps. This progress is then captured through a repeat assessment at the end of the programme.
