Schola Empirica is an independent, non-governmental educational organisation bringing evidence-based education methods and programmes to the Czech school environment. They work on adapting school programmes to local contexts, providing teacher training and support, as well as measuring the impact of educational activities.

In 2019, Schola Empirica translated and adapted the Skills Builder Framework for the Czech school environment. From this, they began adapting learning activities for children according to each step of the Framework and according to the schools' local contexts. Additionally, they have developed a range of activities and hosted them on an online platform for Czech teachers, to be used in their classrooms and provide support for the successful implementation of these resources as a part of a Skills Builder programme.

Schola Empirica's programmes also provide support for schools involved in pilot projects, including:

  • Introductory two-day teacher training
  • Regular consultations with trainers
  • Regular meetings of teachers involved in the program for the purpose of mutual collegial support
  • Visits to pilot schools to observe the approach in practice
  • Feedback on teacher-led portfolios
  • Printed materials in Czech
  • Online tools and resources in Czech
  • Programme materials are accessible for free online in Czech, including a wide range of activities for lessons and guidance on how to work with the Framework.
