In this fully resourced workshop, which is available for teachers to download and deliver in their classrooms, students will get an insight into the range of careers at London Luton Airport through a series of video interviews with staff and associated activities. They will also be able to reflect upon and practise their essential skills, which are those highly transferable skills needed for success in almost any job.

Throughout the workshops after each section there is planned reflection time, as well as task time given to practise the specific essential skill and step that they are focusing on. These skills are Listening, Speaking, Staying Positive (Year 7), Problem Solving (Year 8), Teamwork (Year 9). We give students time to understand what the skill means, an individual task and group task on how students can apply the skill, and then a final reflection on the skill.
