The Rise resources are a collection of GCSE teaching resources for Maths, Science, English, Economics and Business. The resources teach the GCSE curriculum, develop essential skills and link to careers in business and professional services.

The Rise resources can be used within GCSE or National 5 lessons for Maths, English, Science, Business and Economics. While covering parts of the curriculum for these subjects, these resources also identify specific steps from the Universal Framework and allow students to practise and reflect on them. They are perfect for teachers looking to embed essential skills development within their GCSE lessons, while introducing different roles and careers. They would would be particularly useful for teachers who are struggling to find ways to meet Gatsby Benchmark 4 - Embedding careers within curriculum learning. The resources explore all 8 of the essential skills and primarily cover the steps across the intermediate stage of each skill.

Each pack of resources comes with teacher notes that explain the curriculum topic it covers, the essential skill steps developed and useful information on the task. Most resources also include a PowerPoint, student worksheet and an answer sheet. They are designed to take 20 minutes each but can this can be adapted to suit the students' needs. Each subject also includes an assessment activity with exam-style questions.
