Career Seekers Direct are dedicated to fostering the career aspirations of young people by cultivating essential employability skills and offering insights into various industry sectors through a range of career taster and skills development workshops.

This is part of a series of workshops that can be delivered as a stand-alone enrichment session or compiled to create a bespoke skills development programme to fit learners’ needs. Delivery can be on your premises, an external venue or on-line. Workshops support schools, colleges and work-based learning organisations in meeting national standards such as the Gatsby Benchmark 2.

The workshops introduce learners to the Skills Builder framework, helping them to understand and internalise the skills outlined by using the Skills Builder language and icons. The workshops give the opportunity to practice these essential skills within the context of career related tasks spanning different industry sectors. Learners are not only encouraged to reflect on their experiences and progress in developing the essential skills but to also set goals for further enhancing their essential skills. These goals can also be tailored to their personal and career aspirations.

The ultimate aim is to equip young people with the skills they can apply to real life situations whilst raising career aspirations. Equipping them with career knowledge and information to enable informed decision making about their future education and employment.
