The Moving Mountains Project is designed to connect, support and inspire young refugees in the UK through free residential events in the National Parks. Core activities include mountain hiking, nature conservation, high ropes confidence and kayaking.

Participants have an onboarding session where they explore the Universal Framework and understand the importance of the 8 essential skills. They perform a self-assessment for their current score across all of essential skills using the bespoke in-house workbook. Each individual is then asked to complete the activities in the great outdoors over three days, and at the end of each day they pause and reflect on how they practised the essential skills. Finally, the closing session of each Move that Mountain event provides a reflection opportunity on how they feel they have made progress across the three days.
