Get with the Program is an award-winning social enterprise on a mission to inclusively inspire the tech innovators of the future – so today’s children can one day lead the way in solving the world’s biggest challenges! Their unique mix of storytelling and performance teaches children coding concepts through interactive theatre, taking them on an exciting journey. Each of the coding adventures is aligned with the computing curriculum, and with a focus on inclusivity they also smash stereotypes around gender and ethnicity along the way. They are delighted that to date their work has reached over quarter of a million children.

Get with the Program uses the Skills Builder essential skills to support their fun, engaging, and educational activity, ‘Program Each Other’. They’ve incorporated all eight of the essential skills into this provision and highlight when these skills are being developed by the children during this activity. For example, students explore their creativity skills to introduce creative coding steps into their algorithms, and their Teamwork skills when working together in a group.
