The Apprentice Project (TAP) was established by a group of alumni hailing from the Indian Institute of Management, Teach For India, and Harvard University. Their innovative approach garnered recognition when they won the Harvard President's Innovation Challenge 2021 for their impactful model amid the Covid-19 crisis. In the year 2023 to 2024, TAP has directly impacted the lives of 33000+ students from low-income communities across 10 cities in India.
TAP's flagship initiative, the Student Holistic Development Project, is designed to equip students in grades four through ten with the skills necessary for future success. Through a diverse array of courses ranging from STEM to Visual Arts, Performing Arts, and Financial Literacy, learners not only acquire technical knowledge but also undergo training to develop crucial social and emotional skills such as creativity, confidence, and problem-solving. This holistic approach not only fosters academic excellence but also nurtures skills vital for employability readiness while expanding the horizons of imagination among the students.
